Presenter Jon Merrifield will take us on a tour of Premier Pro, beginning with the interface and a description of an optimized project workflow, and then we will edit a 1 minute news break style piece complete with name super ids and with green screen comping on a virtual set.
About the Presenter
Jon Merrifield is an award winning Visual Effects, Finish and Beauty Artist. In his 30 year career he has worked on over a thousand commercials including many Super Bowl spots, over one hundred music videos including MTV’s Music Video of The Year in 2002 and a plethora of established artists from Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Will Smith, Cher, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson, Ludacris to Madonna and Natalie Merchant, as well as many feature films and television shows as VFX Designer including INNOCENCE released in 2014 and the X-Files from the late 1990’s.
Mr. Merrifield currently holds the VFX Supervisor position at the VFX/Finish boutique Peli Studio based in Austin and is connected globally. He is also one of the instructors at The Austin School of Film and is a Video Producer and Motion Graphics Designer in the Creative Services Division at the Texas Department of Transportation.
