The February presentation was canceled due to a power blackout; the presenter graciously agreed to return for the March meeting.
One of the keys to producing an accessible web site is understanding the needs of your audience and team members. In this interactive discussion, we will start by targeting some of the needs of people who have vision, mobility, hearing and / or cognitive challenges. We will then contrast two testing techniques. And finally, we will match the testing technique to each position on the development and maintenance teams.
Agenda:
Four Categories of Accessibility (Plus One)
- Syntax Check VS. Accessibility Review
- Demonstration of Syntax Check
- Demonstration of Accessibility Review
- Accessibility Testing for Web Development and Maintenance Teams
- Cool New Accessibility Coding Techniques (Time Permitting)
