This release marks a significant step forward for motion design—introducing native 3D models, environment maps, materials, lighting, and real-time rendering improvements that bring full 3D integration directly inside AE.
Jon will demonstrate how these new 3D workflows fit into compositing and design pipelines, how to blend 2D and 3D assets seamlessly, and what this means for the future of After Effects as an actual hybrid 2D/3D workspace.

About the Presenter
Jon Merrifield is a creative media professional specializing in VFX compositing and motion graphics. He runs Peli Studio (Austin-based, global clientele) and has worked on 1,000+ commercials, 100 music videos, 10 feature films, and extensive broadcast design. He also produces episodic promo content for tech clients such as Salesforce and DirecTV, and trains and consults in After Effects and Premiere Pro for Lumenbrite Digital Design Training.
