Photoshop in 2025 – 3D

Best wishes to all for a Happy Thanksgiving. The Austin Adobe User Group will take a short holiday break, skipping the December meeting and reconvening at the start of the new year. Please join us for our free monthly meetings on the Second Thursday of most months, starting in 2025. We will meet on January 9th, 6 pm Central.

 

We will be exploring the new 3D Substance add-on to Photoshop. In this session, we will show:

1. How to import 3D Substance to use with Photoshop
2. How to import a 3D object to your image in Photoshop
3. How to change the color or the material of the 3D object
4. How to change the light of the 3D object

5. How to render the 3D object with ray tracing for a more photorealistic view

The Presenter
Cornelius Chopin began his career as an engineer at Texas Instruments and Motorola for more than 19 years. After leaving Motorola, he began teaching at the ITT Technical Institute in Austin, Texas, and, as a freelance, for several major training coobtained an Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) credential in Flash, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop–as only one of seven ACIs in Texas. He is currently an Accessibility Coordinator at the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). He has been a speaker for the Austin Adobe User Group (AAUG) for over 15 years and has presented on topics from accessibility to advanced programming for the web, multimedia, and mobile. He enjoys learning new technologies and teaching them to others. He recently completed his master’s degree in Information Science and Learning Technologies from Missouri University with a 4.0 average.

The Meeting Location
