Project Workflow and Management
Join the Austin Adobe User Group for our May 9th meeting, 6 pm CT, when Jon Merrifield talks about and demonstrates the three things we all must do, whether or not we are using Adobe tools. That’s right, you guessed it: project, asset, and workflow management. If we do these few things right, everything else will be more enjoyable as we grow in our careers. We will look at the workflow for a video project and we will learn how to shave time off one’s workday, accommodate team projects, and more. By dedicating oneself to a little bit of organization in all your projects, you can avoid being slowed down by creative ceilings. We are going to demonstrate this utilizing Adobe Premiere Pro. Yet in most of this presentation, we will explore project-organization techniques that work with any tools.
We will review hardware system setups and specific needs. We will also look at a preferred build for effective video processing, editing, and rendering. When we use tools that require computational heavy lifting, we need a good system that doesn’t hang, plays back in high-resolution video that is clean and perfect–and exports fast. We will review a good way to build that, The workflow operational process impacts how we manage and create assets, It can produce ongoing results that are paramount to the efficacy and enjoyment of our craft.
