InDesign is the world-leading publication layout program for all kinds of colorful and visually rich publications, from a single business card to brochures, posters, magazines, newspapers, textbooks, and on and on.
InDesign is also packed with features for text-intensive documents that require little or no graphics, but instead, rely on typography and structure to organize the contents in a reader-friendly manner.
During this presentation, graphic designer and InDesign expert Tom Berglie will introduce us to a real-world project that was recently published. The publication is an application manual that uses features like multilevel text styling, tables, text variables, footnotes, cross-references, and multiple tables of contents, in order to accommodate a complex structure that is still easy to navigate for the reader.
- Tom Berglie is an Adobe Certified Instructor with more than 25 years of experience in publishing, as a graphic designer, writer, and photographer. He’s been teaching Adobe software including InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat for more than a decade and is also an experienced textbook author and translator. Tom relocated from Norway to Texas in 2014 and is now running his own design business and teaching , B-learning Live, out of Austin, along with full-time engagement as a software translator.
