Lightroom is a powerful tool for organizing and enhancing your photos. It’s easy for power to become overwhelming though, so we’ll try to make it easier. Join us at our October 13 meeting for an introduction to Lightroom and a demonstration how to make photo processing faster with presets. You’ll see how to create, save, and share your own presets, as well as how to find and use presets from others. If you haven’t plunged into Lightroom Mobile, you’ll also see how to sync your photo collections to Lightroom, process them on your mobile device, and work with a single photo in both Lightroom Mobile and PS Express.
Note: If you want to follow along and don’t have a Creative Cloud subscription, the Photography plan (http://bit.ly/aaug-oct17) includes Photoshop and Lightroom, as well as the mobile apps, for $9.99/mo. You get get a trial first, but it’s only a 7-day trial, so if you’re planning on that, you may want to wait until October 7 or later, so you can use it during the October meeting.
Want to follow along? The 27 photos used in the presentation (in raw file formats) are available here – it’s a 561 MB zip file so download before the meeting if you wish to follow along. (They are all
About the Presenter
Bob Mathews has been “into photography” for over 45 years, but has never been accused of being a professional. (Though he does claim to have accumulated a total of $101 in photography income over that time period — enough for one cup of Starbucks a year for something less than 45 years.) He works from his home in Buda for Long Beach CA software company Design Science, a corporation created 30 years ago to produce “mathematics typesetting software” for documents and accessible websites. Bob’s interests are photography, aviation, and travel.
