If you use Illustrator to create many variations of the same item – such as name tags that have text and images – you’ll be repeating the same steps over and over and over and… Automate that process!

A new Illustrator script called “VariableImporter.jsx” makes dynamic data user-friendly and accessible to all creative professionals by providing a robust interface for importing data from .csv and .txt files. This presentation will illuminate the usage of Illustrator’s variable data feature and showcase several sample projects to show real-life scenarios where Illustrator’s unique powerful features are used with text data to create sets of robust dynamic documents.

The script can be downloaded at https://github.com/Silly-V?tab=repositories

About the presenter:
Vasily Hall (LinkedIn profile) is a Dallas-area Adobe Illustrator user and graphic arts workflow automation professional. Since picking up Adobe ExtendScript at his first production art job 4 years ago, he has been steadily learning and growing clients in North Texas, as well as nationally, with custom graphics workflow scripting services. Vasily’s greatest reward is seeing the positive results of his work in the impact on occupational lives of creative professionals, and he believes that there is no true failure in mistakes, unless it is a failure to learn.
