Sept. 12, 2014: Processing HDR photos with Lightroom and Photoshop

Get an overview of High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography, and see some processing techniques using Lightroom 5.5, Photoshop CC 2014, and a 3rd party software product, Photomatix Pro. Trial of Photomatix Pro available at http://www.hdrsoft.com/. The files we’ll be using in the presentation are available for download before the meeting, so if you want to bring your laptop to the meeting and work along, feel free to do so.  The zip file is 229 MB so is recommended to download it before arriving at the meeting location.

About the Presenter

Bob Mathews has been “into photography” for over 40 years, but has never been accused of being a professional. (Though he does claim to have accumulated a total of $101 in photography income over that time period — enough for one cup of Starbucks a year for 40 years.) He works from his home in the Austin area for Long Beach CA software company Design Science, a corporation created 28 years ago to produce “mathematics typesetting software”. Bob’s interests are photography, aviation, and travel.
