July 11 – Special event: Adobe Evangelist Jason demos new Creative Cloud releases

Join us and many other Adobe enthusiasts  – Adobe evangelists are here to show the latest innovations added to Adobe Creative Cloud since CS6. Come and learn about the hundreds of innovations in products like Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC that will make everyday tasks easier and faster. See firsthand how desktop apps, mobile apps, files, community, and even new creative hardware all work together — allowing you to bring your ideas and work together seamlessly.

This is an official Adobe event.  We will provide free appetizers and beverages. Adobe will be providing prizes including a FREE One year Creative Cloud Membership. You must be present to win.

Presenter Bio

Jason Levine, Principal Worldwide Evangelist for Adobe, travels the globe inspiring and educating users on the Adobe Creative Cloud with a focus on video and audio. Levine has conducted training sessions for some of the top broadcast corporations in Europe and Asia including BBC, RTL and SVT. Prior to Adobe, Jason was a full-time recording engineer working in studios coast-to-coast, engineering hundreds of recordings in a multitude of genres, prompting the formation of BoodahJooMusic Publishing. Since 2003, Jason has presented to more than 250,000 people, from Syracuse to Singapore and everywhere in between.

Working with video in Photoshop

Learn which video and auto formats can be imported into Photoshop (CS6 or CC) and how to edit them in the timeline:

  • split and crop video clips
  • add transitions
  • include still images and apply motion effects
  • include titles, credits and captions
  • export/render to MOV (QuickTime), H.264 or DPX (Digital Picture Exchange – used to do further work in Adobe Premier Pro)

Using Adobe After Effects – January 11, 2013

After Effects instructor Steve Connor (deep4d.com/) will demonstrate some of After Effect’s features and abilities during this meeting

After Effects is Adobe’s tool for video post-production and special effects. This software is for green screening, color adjustments, animated titles, 3D animation, motion tracking, and much more. Since After Effects uses layers and blend modes, it’s a tool that is accessible to anyone who works in Photoshop.

Steve Connor is an Adobe Certified Instructor in Photoshop (since CS4) and an Autodesk Certified Instructor in 3ds Max. He has a BFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn NY, where he studied abstract painting and art education. He teaches Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, and 3ds Max. Previously he was a designer in Silicon Valley, working both in an ad agency as an art director, and in his own freelance business. Currently, he works with clients in the areas of design and video, and is developing and offering classes in Adobe software.
