During this presentation we will review the AE interface in-depth and in detail, review the internal process of how After Effects thinks and processes layers, effects etc., determine good working practices for optimal efficiency as well as build and animate a project or two using imported Photoshop and Illustrator files and how those layers may remain editable and/or vector based in addition to workflow review.

Since this is an evening meeting, we’ll have pizza available.

About the presenter

Jon Merrifield has had a 30 plus year career is post production, visual effects and motion graphics. Working on over 1,000 commercials, nearly 100 music videos and 10 feature films. He has a boutique post/vfx studio based in Austin, Peli Studio and is partner in a Los Angeles production company, Honey for The Bears, Jon also is currently an instructor in After Effects and Premiere Pro at Lumenbrite, an Adobe training facility in S. Austin.
