Workflow, workflow, workflow

Fazia Rizvi will take you on a tour of one of the essential asset management tools of professional photographers, and show you how you can use it to mange your own photos and videos, zipping through photo processing tasks that used to take hours. We’ll walk through the options available on importing photos, either from a camera or from an archived collection, then explore the Library and Develop Modules. You’ll learn how invaluable Lightrooom is to managing your organization’s photos, and speeding up your editing and publishing time.

You’ll also learn to:

  •  Import, tag, and catalog your photos
  •  Review, compare, and otherwise manage your images
  •  Create quick, smart, and manual collections
  • Enhance your images – make them pop without having to start up Photoshop
  •  Export your photos for print and web
  • Create smart edits and backup the catalogue

This course is targeted towards beginners who have no knowledge of Lightroom.

About the Presenter

Writer, actor, anthropologist, and technology geek, Fazia Rizvi is also an enthusiastic photographer. Starting a Kodak 110 when she was a kid and now pointing her Canon 60D at the cat every time she moves, Fazia’s got a lot of experience with “too many photos” to manage.

Fazia currently serves as Webmaster for the Center for Community College Student Engagement, a research and service initiative that is part of the Program in Higher Education Leadership at The University of Texas at Austin. She also volunteers as the social media director for the Texas Water Safari, a 260+ mile canoe and kayak race from central Texas to the Gulf of Mexico every June, and for Guide Dogs of Texas, an organization that breeds and trains quality guide dogs for Texans who are visually impaired. She has a B.A. in Anthropology from Texas State University.
