Join the Austin Adobe User Group for our July 8, 2016 meeting. You’ve seen those looping animated graphics that grab your attention — sometimes good, sometimes not so good, sometimes just plain annoying. Animated GIFs have been around for years, but have only recently gained huge popularity, probably due to social media like Facebook and Twitter, both of which support the animations. At the meeting we’ll deal with 3 scenarios: creating an animated GIF from scratch, editing an existing one, and converting a video into an animated GIF. The presenter will use Photoshop CC 2015, but Photoshop CS6 Extended and later will work. Files we’ll use are available for download and practice, so bring your laptop if you want.

About the Presenter

Bob Mathews has been fiddling with cameras and computers for over 45 years, the former as a hobby and the latter as profession. He works from his home in Buda for Long Beach CA software company Design Science, a corporation created 30 years ago to produce “mathematics typesetting software” for documents and accessible websites. Although 100% of the time he’ll correctly use there, their, and they’re, to, two, and too, as well as its and it’s, he struggles to pronounce GIF correctly. Bob’s interests are photography, aviation, and travel.
